It is the seventh largest country by geographical area, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east. Demands on your patience, stamina, humor and adaptability can be considerable but the ease with which we travel and trek through India while staying fit and well, removes many of the myths and heightens the enjoyment. India's mountains provide heli skiing, river running, mountaineering and trekking. Its beaches provide lazy sun-bathing as well as wind surfing and snorkeling, and its jungles provide incredible wildlife. We believe it is a wonderful country and amid so much noise, heat and activity, the equanimity and dignity of its people contrast powerfully with the sometimes muddled western values. It borders Pakistan to the west, People's Republic of China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north-east; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Indonesia in the Indian Ocean.
Geography of India:
India can be segregated into three parts geographically: the Himalayan region, the Gangetic plain and the plateau. The Himalayan region contains the highest mountain range in the world, the mighty Himalayas. The Gangetic plain is known for its fertile land and river systems while the plateau lies in the southern and central part of the country. The land of India is watered by three water systems: the Ganges, the Indus and the Brahmaputra. All three of these rivers have their origin in the Himalayas.

People and language of India:
India is a fascinating country where people of many different communities and religions live together in unity. Indian Population is polygenetic and is an amazing amalgamation of various races and cultures. The most spoken language in India is Hindi. The beauty of the Indian people lies in the spirit of tolerance, although ethnically Indians speak different languages, follow different religions, eat the most diverse varieties of food, there is still a richness in Indian arts and culture which is unparalleled anywhere else in the world.
Indian Culture:
India's culture is marked by a high degree of syncretism and cultural pluralism. It has successfully managed to preserve established traditions while absorbing new customs, traditions, and ideas from invaders and immigrants and spreading its cultural influence to other parts of Asia. Many Indian festivals are religious in origin, although several are celebrated irrespective of caste and creed. Some popular festivals are Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Ugadi, Durga puja, Christmas and many more. Be sure not to wear any footwear inside Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Jain places of worship and some temples do not permit leather articles to be taken in. Traditional Indian family values are highly respected, although urban families now prefer the nuclear family structure due to the socio-economic constraints imposed by traditional joint family system.
Climate of India:
India has hot tropical weather with variations occurring from region to region. While the coolest months are from November to mid-March, the hottest are from April to June. From mid-July to September one can experience Monsoon rains as well. Winters in India are pleasant with plenty of sunny days. Most of the North India remains dry, dusty, and unpleasant during the summer months. It is hard to generalize in a country that runs from the Himalayas to the beaches of the Indian Ocean broadly!
