Peak climbing in India has become very much popular all over.  Large groups of people from all age ranges frequently go peak climbing throughout India.  Many of the institutes are providingprofessional help for trekking. Not all the people are familiar with all the peak climbing places in India and these institutions are there in order to solve these problems of the people, searching for the best place for peak climbing. Peak climbing is now practiced very much throughout the world but many people are heading to India for the incredible Himalayan peaks.  Professional peak climbing has begun in India only after the arrival of the English people.  Man has been climbing peaks ever since he kept his foot on earth. Peak climbing has become greatly popular amongst people once again.

Climbing Friendship Peak

NO of Days : 11/12

Type of peak : Scree Rock and Snow

Height of peak : 5289 m

Experience required : Snow walk, high altitude trekking

 

 Friendship peak  lies in the Pir Panjal range with a summit height of 5289m.  Roadhead is in Solng Nala, the main town in Solang Valley-18 km. from Manali.  Friendship peak is one of the most famous peaks in Pir Panjal range and it is not really technical. During certain times there is quite hard ice and rock, so you must purchase or rent full climbing gear to prepare.

Most Common Climbing Plan:

Day 01: Reaching Manali/Solang Nala from Chandigarh/Delhi.

Day 02: A short trek on jeapable road to Dhundi.

Day 03: Dhundi- Bakarthach.

Day 04: Rest Day.

Day 05: Bakarthach- ABC.

Day 06 : ABC- Base Camp.

Day 07: Advance Summit Camp/ Summit attempt.

Day 08 : Reserve for summit.

Day 09: Back to Dhundi.

Day 10: Back to Manali.

Day 11: Back to Delhi/ Chandigarh.
