Trip Introduction
The Badimalika Trek is a hidden gem in far-western Nepal, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and spiritual significance. This off-the-beaten-path journey takes you through remote villages, lush forests, and high alpine grasslands.
A major highlight is the sacred Badimalika Temple (4,460m), a revered pilgrimage site dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati. The region also lies close to Khaptad National Park, known for its biodiversity and pristine landscapes.
During the trek, you may encounter wildlife like musk deer, Himalayan black bears, and even leopards, along with over 270 species of birds. The journey becomes even more vibrant during the Janai Purnima festival, when thousands of pilgrims visit the temple.
