DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT KATHMANDU

 

Arrival at Kathmandu International airport. Meet & welcome by our representative & transfer to hotel. Welcome drink followed by tour briefing. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: KATHMANDU CITY TOUR

 

After Breakfast we begin our cultural discovery in Kathmandu, the heart of Nepal. We'll visit the Pashupatinath TempleBoudhanath Stupa,Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa,after a fulfilling day, we'll return to the hotel in Kathmandu for an overnight stay.

  • The Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Pashupati, a form of Shiva. It is located in Kathmandu, Nepal near the Bagmati River. The temple was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO’s designation of Kathmandu Valley.

  • Boudhanath Stupa is also known as Boudhanath, Khasti Chaitya and khasa is a stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal. Located about 11 km from the Centre and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, its massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal and the world. The Stupa is said to entomb the remains of Kassapa Buddha. It is located on the ancient trade route from Tibet route from Tibet which enters the Kathmandu Valley by the village of Sankhu in the Northeast corner and continues to the ancient and smaller stupa of Chabahil named Charumati Stupa.

  • Swayambhunath Stupa is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. The Tibetan name for the site means 'Sublime Trees' (Wylie: Phags.pa Shing.kun), for the many varieties of trees found on the hill. However, Shingun may be of in Nepal Bhasa name for the complex, Swayambhu, meaning 'self-sprung'. For the Buddhist Newars, in whose mythological history and origin myth as well as day-to-day religious practice Swayambhu occupies a central position, it is the most sacred among Buddhist pilgrimage sites. For Tibetans and followers of Tibetan Buddhism, it is second only to Boudha. Swayambhu is the Hindu name.

  • Patan Durbar Square isLocated 5km southeast of Kathmandu, the Patan city popularly known as 'the city of artisans' accommodates a magnificent square housing the palace buildings of the then royals, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples – a display of Newari architecture that had reached its pinnacle during the reign of the Malla kings. It is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, and ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and over 1200 monuments.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara

After sunrise, have a breakfast and you’ll be travelling to Pokhara by road. It will take about 6/7 hours journey. In the way, you’ll observing the scenic views on the national highway along the Trishuli River. Enroute, visit Manakamana Temple by Cable Car(optional). Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Evening walk around lake side and enjoy the view of western Himalayan ranges with Mt. Fishtail. Return back to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 04: Pokhara Sightseen

Early morning proceeds to Sarangkot (8 km from Pokhara) you can see panoramic view from Sarangkot various mountain. When the sun picks out the peaks, transforming them from a purple-pink to a celestial gold. Later leave for sightseeing tour of Pokhara valley covering Davi's fall, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Seti gorge, GupteshworMahadev cave, Bindhyabasini Temple&Fewa Lake with1 hour boat ride on Lake Fewa.

  • Davi’s fall: Davi's fall is a waterfall located at Pokhara in Kaski District, Nepal. The water forms a tunnel after reaching the bottom. This tunnel is approximately 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level.

  • Sarangkot: It isa hill on the western side of Pokhara with an altitude of 1600m. Sarangkot is known for its panoramic Himalayan views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. It also provides an expansive view of the city of Pokhara, from the extreme north to the south including Phewa Lake. Tourists drive up the hill to watch the sunrise from the view tower at the top.

  • Seti Gorge: The Seti originates from the snow fields and glaciers around the twin peaks of Api and Nampa in the south-facing slopes of the main Himalayas. The area is near the trijunction of the borders of Nepal, India (Kumaon, Uttarakhand), and China (Tibet). The river first flows in a south-easterly direction, then turns and flows in a south-westerly and finally south-easterly again before joining the Karnali or Ghaghara River.

  • GupteshworMahadev cave is a cave located in Pokhara-16, batulechaur, Kaski district, close to the Kali khola, it is a large limestone cave. It is a rare example of a cave system in Nepal containing stalagmites and stalactites.This show cave attracts thousands of tourists every year.A statue of Hindu lord Shiva can be found inside the cave.

  • Bindhyabasini Temple is the oldest temple in the city of Pokhara, Nepal. It's located in Ward No. 2, Miruwa. It regularly attracts a large number of locals, Nepalese from across the country, and foreigners alike. The main temple is devoted to the goddess Bindhyabasini, a Bhagawati who is the incarnation of Kali.

  • Fewa Lake Phewa Lake, Phewa Tal or Fewa Lake is a freshwater lake in Nepal formerly called Baidam Tal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley that includes Pokhara city and parts of Sarangkot and Kaskikot. There is also a Talbarahi Temple Hindu temple on the center of the lake. If people want to visit the temple they must take a boat. Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in the Nepal. It is the only lake in Nepal that have a Temple in the centre of the lake. And that temple is called Barahi Mandir. Its Area is about 4.43km.sq.

  • Tal Bharahi Temple is also known as ‘Lake Temple’ or ‘Barahi Temple’ is a Hindu temple of the goddess Barahi. It is the most important religious monument in Pokhara, Nepal. This temple is located on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake. As the temple is situated on a small island, the only way to visit it is by boat. The temple is a symbol of the manifestation of Ajima representing the female force.

Day 05:Pokhara to Kathmandu

In this day, after your lunch, you will be travelling back to Kathmandu which is about 6/7-hour drive. After reaching Kathmandu, Check into hotel. Take rest and afterwards you can explore places near your hotels or can-do personal activities. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Depart From Kathmandu
